About Christine

Christine Lasher is an artist trapped in an executive’s life.

Christine’s writing was recently included in a series that captured writer’s voices during the COVID pandemic and which has since been entered in perpetuity into the Irish Poetry Reading Archive at the University College at Dublin (UCD). She is also published in an anthology entitled “Keys to Silence” and two of her pieces have been incorporated into university curricula on the topic of gender dynamics. She was selected for the international speaking series, Listen To Your Mother, and The Rochester Fringe Festival and is actively working on full length works, both fiction and non-fiction. She blogs about life here.

As a photographer, she loves to be barefoot and loose with a camera and an idea. Her photography is diverse ranging from portraiture and theater, to landscape and sports. Her work has been featured on a Regional Theater website and on the front page of the Democrat & Chronicle’s Living Section. She has also delivered commissioned landscape work and portraiture as well.

Her greatest accomplishment to date is nurturing the vibrant spirits of her four children; a chapter that she now begins with her grandchildren as well.

Christine looks forward to someday making her living doing what she loves the most: writing, photography and helping others to heal. In the meantime, she is keeping the lights on by working as the Director of a technology company. In her work life, Christine has received “Most Valuable Player” and “Leading the Way” awards for exemplifying a will to win; and was featured in the Thought Leader Series at the American Public Health Association’s Annual Conference in 2021 for her important work to combat the opioid crisis in rural communities. She has also invested her personal time as a Global Ambassador for a non-profit organization that applies technology to solve issues related to epidemic disease and natural disaster.

Christine’s alma mater is Colgate University where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. She is currently living in the Blue Ridge Mountains Region after raising her four children as a single mother. They are now making a difference in the world.
